THE ASK:
To build upon the existing world we've previously created for Bethpage Federal Credit Union creating 4x :30/:15 x TVCs for the brand. This time, we decided to imagine the world entirely in a virtual 3D space.
THE Process:
We started by building upon the world of the existing character we'd previously spent some time with, and reimagined it in a virtual 3D space. We designed storyboards and created 3D previs assets before going into production, so that we could appropriately light our set and perfect the talent blocking. We did casting to round out the characters in our new world, and worked with a long-time collaborator studio to execute the shoot. The shoot was fully green-screened, with actors performing their lines between empty green walls utilizing minimalistic props and wardrobe. We brought the world to life in post-production, using VFX magic and sound design.
We secured a studio space at one of our favorite Brooklyn spots and brought in a superb art team to dress the minimalist office set, to put the focus on the talent performance. After production wrapped, we edited and finalized the videos in-house.
The Outcome:
Four stunningly beautiful full VFX spots to take Bethpage into the next dimension! As the client had limited prior experience working in animation, they were unsure what the final product may look like, but were pleasantly surprised and thrilled with the outcome!
